Colt L4 Data Centre
London 4, a state-of-the-art data centre in West London, is part of Colt Data Centres' extensive European network.
Maple designed, manufactured and installed two façade systems, including architectural fins and ventilation louvres. These façade products enhanced the building's energy efficiency and contributed to its modern architectural design, showcasing Maple's ability to deliver tailored façade solutions for high-tech data centre projects.
Projects
As a specialist in aluminium façade systems, Maple Façades has experience designing and installing louvres, fins, and panels on data centre projects.

Projects
-
London Hayes Data Centre | Phase One
London Hayes Data Centre Phase One is the first of a major four-phase development near Heathrow, focused on advanced data centres and related infrastructure, benefiting from its strategic location and existing power capabilities.
Phase One involved the installation of the full envelope façade systems, including louvres, composite panels, brise soleil, and perforated panels. These systems are essential for the buildings' functionality and aesthetic appeal.
-
London Hayes Data Centre | Phase Two
Following the successful delivery of Phase 1 at London Hayes Data Centre, Maple was pleased to return for Phase 2, building on the lessons learned and project understanding gained from the previous scheme.
This phase included the installation of composite cladding and perforated panel systems, supporting both the performance and visual requirements of the building envelope. Through shared project learnings and close collaboration, the team was able to deliver a more informed, efficient approach across the second phase.
-
London Hayes Data Centre | Phase Three
London Hayes Data Centre Phase 3 marked a continuation of Maple’s involvement across the wider campus scheme, following the successful delivery of the earlier phases. With knowledge carried forward from Phase 1 and Phase 2, the team was able to build on established project learnings, streamline coordination, and support a consistent façade approach across the development.
This project is a strong example of the value of working with one trusted façade partner across a multi-phase campus, helping to maintain continuity, efficiency, and confidence from one phase to the next.

KAO KLON-02
KLON-02 is KAO Data's second of four 10 megawatt buildings to be constructed on the data campus with another two planned for construction by KAO Data.
The look and feel of KLON-02 was designed to replicate KLON-01. The aerofoil blades used on the façade are part of Maple’s Actua® range and provide a striking visual impact. The arrangement of green and yellow fins offers a fresh look, continuing the new precedent set by KAO for typically grey data centres.
-
KAO KLON-03
Following the successful delivery of KAO KLON-02, Maple has since been appointed to support KAO KLON-03, building on the strong foundations established across the previous scheme.
As part of the ongoing data campus development, this latest project demonstrates Maple’s ability to scale façade delivery across repeat, high-performance environments while carrying forward shared project learnings and best practice. With established knowledge of the site, design intent, and performance requirements, the team is well placed to support consistency, efficiency, and confidence across the next phase of KAO Data’s continued growth.
-
London Redkite Data Centre, Slough
This data centre project demonstrates Maple’s ability to deliver high-performance façade solutions for complex, fast-moving environments.
The installation included VL HP50 Vent Louvres to support essential ventilation requirements, alongside C300x50 Fins to provide a clean, robust external finish. Together, these systems contribute to the building’s operational performance while maintaining a consistent architectural appearance across the façade.
-
Frankfurt Data Centre
Maple has delivered another successful data centre project in Frankfurt, installing MF2R Double Bank Acoustic Louvres to support the building’s ventilation and acoustic performance requirements.
Designed for demanding data centre environments, the system provides effective airflow while helping to manage noise control across the façade. It has been a pleasure supporting the client on this scheme, and we look forward to working together again on future projects.
-
London 12 Data Centre, Slough
Maple supported the delivery of a data centre project in Slough with the installation of VL50 Screening Louvres, providing a clean and effective façade solution for the building’s external plant and ventilation requirements.
Designed to balance performance with visual consistency, the screening louvres help integrate essential services into the overall building envelope while maintaining a robust architectural finish suited to a high-performance data centre environment.
-
NTT Communications Data Centre
NTT Data Centres are recognised for their robust infrastructure and advanced technology, delivering secure and dependable data storage solutions worldwide.
Maple collaborated with the principal designer and contractor to deliver screening louvres that ensure a seamless visual integration with the main data centre façade, while effectively concealing plant equipment and cooling units.
This project further demonstrates Maple’s expertise in data centre solutions, including proprietary systems such as Actua—a CWCT-certified solution compatible with composite cladding.
-
London 1E Data Centre, Romford
The London 1E data centre features a coordinated Maple façade package, bringing together VL100 Louvres, horizon copings, and the Aspect® CTH rainscreen system.
Each element was selected to support the project’s performance, durability, and visual requirements, while creating a consistent finish across the building envelope. The scheme demonstrates how multiple façade systems can work together to meet the demands of a high-performance data centre environment.
-
Dublin Data Centre
This Dublin data centre features an architectural vertical wave fin façade, creating a distinctive external identity while supporting the performance demands of a critical infrastructure environment.
The flowing fin arrangement brings depth, rhythm, and visual movement to the building envelope, transforming a functional façade element into a strong design feature. The project demonstrates how data centre façades can deliver more than performance alone, combining robust, durable systems with architectural impact.
-
London 2 Data Centre, Slough
London 2 Data Centre in Slough included the installation of XL140 Louvres to the generator gantry and Contour 100 Louvres to the third floor chiller gantry.
These systems were delivered to support the building’s essential plant and ventilation requirements while maintaining a clean, coordinated appearance across the external envelope. The project reflects Maple’s experience in providing practical, performance-led façade solutions for high-demand data centre environments.
“From tender to contract, into design and
installation at the site, Maple have been one of
the easiest subcontractors to deal with.”
